LINE-HEIGHT: 150%"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Georgia;color:black;"&gt;Esses alimentos são constituídos por proteínas do soro do leite, que são extraídas do soro por diversas técnicas de processamento, como exemplo, a filtração. A proteína é constituída por subfrações protéicas chamadas de aminoácidos. A composição de amoniácidos no alimento dependerá da técnica empregada na separação da proteína do soro.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="TEXT-INDENT: 35.4pt; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Georgia;color:black;"&gt;As propagandas passam a idéia que quanto mais proteína ingerida, melhor será para o aumento de massa muscular. Mas isso não é verdade, pois cada indivíduo tem sua limitação na prática do exercício, com necessidades metabólicas diferentes. Sendo assim, sua necessidade pode ser ou não suprida apenas com uma alimentação equilibrada. Caso essa necessidade não seja suprida apenas pela alimentação, é que esses suplementos protéicos são necessários (conforme definição da ANVISA). Atualmente são usados para aumentar a oferta de aminoácidos visando à síntese protéica, o ganho de massa magra e a hipertrofia muscular. Potencializando a atividade física.No objetivo de tornar mais acessível à população e de facilitar o registro no órgão de fiscalização do governo, são classificados como suplementos alimentares e não de medicamentos, desde que obedeçam a certos critérios de composição nutricional.&lt;br /&gt;A composição protéica deve ser constituída de, no mínimo, 65% de proteínas de qualidade nutricional equivalente às proteínas de alto valor biológico, sendo estas formuladas a partir da proteína intacta e ou hidrolisada. As proteínas podem ser classificadas comoAlto valor biológico: encontram-se nos alimentos de origem animal (lacticínios, carne, peixe e ovos) e possuem aminoácidos essenciais em proporções adequadas às necessidades do organismo.&lt;br /&gt;Baixo valor biológico: existem nos alimentos de origem vegetal, especialmente nas leguminosas frescas (ervilhas) e secas como o feijão. Estes alimentos não têm na sua composição os aminoácidos essenciais nas proporções adequadas às necessidades do organismo&lt;br /&gt;Opcionalmente, estes produtos podem conter vitaminas e ou minerais. Podem conter ainda carboidratos e gorduras, desde que a soma dos percentuais do valor calórico total de ambos não supere o percentual de proteínas. Se apresentam sob a forma de: tabletes, drágeas, cápsulas, pós, granulados, pastilhas mastigáveis, líquidos, preparações semi-sólidas e suspensões.
